What Is Proximity Key?

A proximity key (also known as Smart Key, Push-to-Start, Keyless Go or Intelligent Key) is a remote shaped device that permits a key-less door access and engine igniting in your vehicle.
When owner is within the appropriate frequency range, the keyless device transmit RF waves with your engine control unit to lock and unlock doors and even to ignite the car engine while having the key in the pocket.
30 years ago, Mercedes-Benz was the first manufacturer of automobiles to implement this technology in the automotive industry.
Currently, auto motive owners can utilize keyless entries and push-to-start ignition on most auto motives and use functionality as remote start, automobile theft countering protection, automatic door locking and unlocking, alarm and many more.
